Corporate Social Responsibility

The Servest Group believes in corporate social responsibility and promoting environmentally conscious business practices. We contribute towards many important programmes, across a broad spectrum of causes that promote the diverse needs of people in different communities.

These include:

  • Joint Action Management - crèche feeding schemes project.
  • Dreamfields - soccer development.
  • South African Police Widows and Orphans fund.
  • Servest Empowering The Homeless (SETH) skills training scheme.

Etwatwa Community

Thanks to Servest Security, an Etwatwa community on the East Rand will soon boast its first community centre. After the Servest Security team visited the impoverished area and met the passionate Pastor Abraham Molo, the driving force behind the project, they were moved to lend a hand. Servest Security believes in giving back to communities and what better way than with such a centre.

In 2010, Servest Security donated R60 000 so that cement, sand and stone could be bought for the centre’s foundation (Pastor Abraham and his team had already bought the land, bricks and the steel roof structure). This year, it donated a further R60 000 to complete the roof structure.

Servest Security enjoys being involved in projects where the community is committed to following through with their leaders’ vision, and are always willing to help those who help themselves.

Word from Pastor Abraham

“We are very grateful for the help we have received from Servest Security,” says Pastor Abraham Molo. “Our vision is now becoming a reality. The centre will cater to the whole community’s needs, especially those of the youth. We hope to even establish a computer centre here in time. On Sundays the centre will be used for church services as we also want to look after the community’s spiritual needs.”
