The Importance of Security Risk Assessments

Our businesses are our livelihood and they are also where we spend a great deal of our time.   Securing of our assets and the lives of our staff is serious business and should be handled as such!

At Servest Security, it is our philosophy to perform a thorough security risk assessment in order to provide a proposal for an effective solution.

We have a two-stage security risk assessment process, which starts with the initial call out by a potential client. Our experienced consultants perform a comprehensive physical survey and based on the findings, observations and information compile a security proposal that is unique to their particular needs.

In addition to this we enter into dialogue with the staff and other stakeholders in order to understand the intricacies of the business.

Once our proposal has been presented and accepted, a follow-up analysis is performed in order to compile a Site Operating Procedure Manual. Only once agreed to and approved by our client this becomes the ‘BLUE PRINT’ of the site and is then implemented immediately.

However, as the economic climate changes, so do crime trends which requires that surveys are conducted every three to six months, and in some cases as often as monthly.

Even though a company or organisation may think they have a good idea of their security needs, they may not have taken into account many of the broader concerns and details that must be considered. We appreciate that an office has to be completely protected to offer an optimal work environment, which is why we insist on performing thorough security risk assessments. And you should insist the same of your Security provider.
